WARNING: Graphic content
The man who opened-fire during a Madden NFL 19 tournament in Jacksonville, Florida then took his own life has been identified as 24-tear-old David Katz.
Katz was a gamer himself and was known as someone who kept to himself, "a man of business" who's "not here for the experience," as explained by announcers at a previous Madden tournament.
The audio of the first shots were broadcast live, as the entire tournament was being livestreamed. TMZ posted audio and video from those first moments soon after the incident.
Again, WARNING. The below video is graphic.
The Jacksonville police tweeted right after the shooting, "Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY."
One suspect is dead at the scene, unknown at this time if we have a second suspect. Searches are being conducted. https://t.co/qBJvkaO7xT— Jax Sheriff's Office (@JSOPIO) August 26, 2018
