Great Autobiographical Books About Musicians To Keep You Busy!

Looking for a good book about music to read this weekend?ย Well, back in March, Rolling Stone magazine listed the Top 100 Autobiographical Books by musicians ever written.

These books laid bare the lives famous musicians live. The good, the bad, and the ugly about the music industry and the personโ€™s life within that industry. As you might guess, there is some interesting reads to find in this list. As such, I going to list the top five autobiographical books according to the iconic magazine.

5.ย โ€œKeith Richards: Life (2010).โ€ย The Rolling Stones guitarist spills his guts in this great book. Plenty of Mick Jagger stuff too!

4. โ€œQuestlove: โ€˜Mo Meta Blues (2013).โ€ย The drummer and frontman for the hip hop bad, The Roots, writes what Rolling Stone calls โ€œOne of the most emotionally honest books ever writtenโ€ about life in the music industry.ย

3. โ€œBruce Springsteen: Born To Run (2016).โ€ The Boss dropped this great book unexpectedly in 2916. Rolling Stone calls it โ€œloose and friendly.โ€

2. โ€œPatti Smith: Just Kids (2010).โ€ย The punk rocker delivers what Rolling Stone calls a book with โ€œwarmthโ€ and a โ€œlack of bitternessโ€ as she remembers her life in music.ย

1. โ€œBob Dylan: Chronicles, Volume One (2004).โ€ Dylan, who many called the greatest songwriter ever, covers the chaos of his life as he โ€œrambles from one fragment of his life to another.โ€ Plenty of great stuff and great characters!ย

Thatโ€™s the Top 5. To view the whole list of 100 books, go toย https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/books-greatest-rock-memoirs-of-all-time-161198/nikki-sixx-the-heroin-diaries-2007-228907/
