Ever since The Weeknd released some hot new music the other day, it's created quite a buzz as to what the lyrics of some of the songs mean. And a lot of people are thinking it's mostly about his relationship with Selena Gomez.
Like for instance, there's a song called "Call Out My Name." where he says "I helped you out of a broken place" and "When times were rough, I made sure I held you close to me." - I can imagine that's definitely related to her kidney transplant and that difficult period in her life.
But also after the breakup, and the sudden return to Justin Bieber. In "Privilege," he really gets deep. "Enjoy your privileged life 'cause I'm not gonna hold you through the night. We said our last goodbyes. So, let's just try to end it with a smile. And I don't wanna hear that you are suffering, you are suffering, no more. 'Cause I held you down when you were suffering. You were suffering."
It's tough. Relationships come and go, and I can definitely tell that Selena Gomez had a real impact on his life. I wonder if she'll respond.
