Dunkin' Donuts is Making a Change About Their Coffee Cup

Dunkin' Donuts serves 3 million people every day, which means they use a LOT of coffee cups. Right now when you order a hot coffee at the store, there's a good chance it'll be in a styrofoam cup. Scientists have found that expanded polystyrene (EPS), better known as Styrofoam, does not biodegrade easily and may cause health and environmental problems

There have been calls for chains like Dunkin' to switch over to something more eco-friendly. Today the company announced they were doing just that. By 2020, Dunkin' Donuts hopes to phase out all styrofoam cups and replace them with "sustainable" paper cups that will be insulated and won't need a paper sleeve.

That means less styrofoam sitting around in landfills, a little step that can make a huge difference.
