A Walt Disney cast member died at Pop Century Resort in Orlando, Florida on Monday. According to sources, police were called around 9:18 a.m. after a 33-year-old male identified as Juan Alberto Ojeda was found unconscious. The death is believed to be an accident.
“All of us at Walt Disney World Resort are deeply saddened today by the loss of one of our Cast Members. Our thoughts and concerns are with his family, friends, and fellow co-workers,” Walt Disney World Resort president George A. Kalogridis said in a statement.
It appears Ojeda was killed in an industrial area of the resort. The incident is still under investigation.
This isn't the first tragedy at Pop Century, a resort located near Hollywood Studios. A 13-year-old boy died from drowning in 2013.
