The Charlotte Checkers Played to An Empty Arena & Things Got Weird

A little bad weather wasn't going to stop the Charlotte Checkers from playing hockey. When a snow storm dropped inches of snow on the Queen City, the hockey team decided to close its doors to the public, but continue with the game as scheduled.

The team was a bit short-staffed causing people to take over jobs not necessarily on their resume, but everyone came together to help.

Even the normal game routines continued, like the Kiss Cam and a killer intermission show.

Of course, not every hockey team will close its door when the weather is bad. Several teams tweeted at the Checkers that they, too, received a ton of snow but still had the game.

Hey, at least we won, right?
