Matt Pozda is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a double concentration in Accounting and Finance. After an uncomfortable experience with two local HVAC businesses, he began his entrepreneurial journey to create Call Dad. Mr. Pozda has spent the first 10 years of his career in the fields of Investment Banking, Private Equity and Distressed Investing, at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, CapitalSource, and MCG Capital. He has also co-founded and successfully co-manages MM Capital Holdings LLC, which invests in and operates small businesses.
As the Visionary and CEO of Call Dad, a company that's redefining the residential Air Conditioning and Heating service industry, Matt Pozda brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and a deep commitment to customer care. His journey began with a personal experience in 2014, facing the common dilemma of homeowners in Charlotte needing reliable HVAC service. After a disheartening encounter with a large company, marked by hasty service and a lack of genuine engagement, he sought an alternative that led him to a small, family-run business. Their approach, although difficult to contact and a far less efficient response time, was rich in authenticity and care. He knew after that experience, there had to be a better way.
Ultimately, this contrasting experience ignited a passion to create an AC and Heating service company that merged the best of both worlds: efficiency with authenticity. The professionalism of a large company with the trustworthiness and genuine care of a smaller business. Driven by this vision to transform the customer experience in HVAC services, he took the leap into the industry, laying the foundation for Call Dad.
Today, as Visionary & CEO, he works hard every day to ensure that Call Dad upholds these core values. His leadership is not just about providing exemplary HVAC services but about fostering a culture where every customer feels valued, understood, and cared for. Call Dad is also keenly focused on cultivating curiosity and growth, through DAD University, an accredited apprenticeship program where Call Dad is helping shape the future generation of tradesmen and tradeswomen.
