Lady Gaga Pens Personal Note About The Release Of Her Netflix Doc

Ahead of the release of her Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, Mother Monster shared an intimate note about the project, which is set to hit several personal moments in her most recent era like her struggle with chronic pain disorder and her engagement with Taylor Kinney.

In the note, which was posted prior to the release of the doc on the streaming service, the pop titan spoke candidly about the project and how it's set to lift the veil on what it really means to be a superstar in 2017. "What struck me most was the film’s authenticity in the way Chris [Moukarbel], the director, chose to show my lowest lows, my highest highs, and the close relationship with my family that I clung to fiercely while writing my album Joanne," Gaga wrote.

"Although surreal, happy, and also hard, I’m most touched that the veil behind the aura of my fame reveals that fame is not all it’s cracked up to be," she continued. "It is lonely, it is isolating, and it is very psychologically challenging because fame changes the way you’re viewed by people."

Earlier this week, iHeartRadio premiered an exclusive clip from the doc, where Gaga accidentally hits super-producer Mark Ronson's Mercedes upon arriving to the studio for her Joanne recording session. "I hit Mark's car. I don't even know how I did that," she says with regret as she enters the building. "If you have a problem with me, just tell it to my face — not to my bumper," Ronson jokingly says, before asking about the damage. Florence Welch also appears in the clip during what is presumably the recording of their Joanne duet, "Hey Girl."

"It's really the last thing I want you to worry about," Ronson tells the singer at the end of the clip, reassuring her that the fender bender isn't too big of a deal.
