Justin Bieber surprised sick kids at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County on Monday.
In pictures shared on social media, Bieber is seen hanging out with patients in their rooms at the medical center. With one boy, the superstar wore a protective gown and gloves to avoid spreading germs. They amusingly did the dab together in one of the snapshots.
Brandie Runner, the mother of another patient, shared on Instagram the story of how Bieber spent time with her ill daughter. “So… our nurse comes in and asks Victoria if she’s been asked about having a visitor? We say no. She ask if she likes ‘x’ person. She says YES. Nurse exits the room. We discuss if she’s joking or not. I explain that famous people come visit sick kids at children’s hospitals all the time. In this person walks. Introduces themselves to Victoria and we sit stunned. Victoria’s smile was amazing and huge. Prayed with us and gave tori a great big hug. Ok. Anyone wanna guess who her visitor was?!! #justinbeiber.”
In addition to sharing a photo, Runner also posted video of the meeting, writing, “The actual video of @vickyyrunnner meeting @justinbieber at #CHOC. We still can’t believe Justin Bieber came in to meet my chicklette. What a blessing this day was to her (& I). I never knew he had this big of a heart. #spendtimewithsickkids #bieberfan #icantbelievethis.” In the footage, Victoria wipes away tears as the singer stands by her bedside.
For her part, she wrote on her own Instagram, “Met him today. Thanks for making me feel better @justinbieber.” The performer, who is known for meeting with Make-A-Wish kids at almost every concert, has made no mention of his good deed on his own social media pages. The hospital visit comes two days after Bieber was stopped by the cops for using his cell phone while driving.
As Gossip Cop reported, he was “cooperative” and “apologetic” during the traffic stop. It seems Bieber brought those good manners to the children’s hospital, which he previously visited back in 2009.
